This is everything you need for a AP U.S. Government Full Year Course. Over 1,200 individual products in ONE package! Free downloads for life! I teach this course every year and update my plans. This course is already updated for the redesign for 2018-2019.
What will this curriculum contain?
It includes full lesson plans, student activities, and all other needed materials to implement the lessons. Includes cooperative group activities, centers, readings, games, projects, rubrics, tests, and so much more. I teach with the 55 minute period for the full year. I am a very organized teacher.
Helpful Tips:
This is a HUGE file over 1,200 items, so be prepared for a large download! Files are all organized into unit folders for ease of use. Each folder has multiple folders included an extra folder, tests, and each unit is organized in number order that I taught them.

Introduction to Sociology Unit
This is a complete unit with 17 separate lessons (55 min each) for an introduction to sociology course. There are worksheets, Powerpoints, two projects, hands on activities, videos urls to TED talks and Youtube, and a test provided with a key.
Lessons Include:
-Why is having empathy important?
– what is sociology?
– What is the sociological imagination?
– How might live your life differently if you live with sociological mindfulness?
– What are the four main sociological perspectives?
– Who are famous sociologists?
– How can the four theories relate to society?
Note: This unit was updated on August 2018 to clearly organize each lesson and file.
Options to access files: You can either download the files and edit in Word or Powerpoint OR click the urls and edit all the materials digitally on Google Drive!
I use a textbook called Think Social Problems. There is only one homework assignment included for students to complete with the textbook. You can purchase this unit/course and not give out the assignment.

Budgeting Lesson
Break a Norm Project
lessons all year! I tell them the norm has to be a norm break for them and that it must be school appropriate. I also send an email to staff and clear it with my administration before we break them. It was designed in Word and can be modified for your classroom.

Sociology Hashtag Final Project
This is a Sociology hashtag final project. Student’s select a hashtag that has created social change. They need to research and evaluate the hashtag and decide if it was a successful social movement. They need to create a survey and final online poster to present their research. There is a rubric provided to help you grade it as well as three sample student projects that were really well done. This took my student’s 5 class days to work on and four class days to present their findings to the class. Makes a great end of the semester or class project! It was designed in Word and can be modified for your class.

Gilded Age Test
This is four page Gilded Age test, which includes immigration, industrialization, and urbanization. There are 16 multiple choice questions, 12 matching vocabulary words and definitions, two primary documents with six short answer questions. It was designed in word and can be modified for your classroom. There is an answer key provided.

Spent Movie Handout
This is a two page lesson for the video called Spent. There is a activity to complete before the video, video questions, and an exit slit. The video is 30 minutes and discussion before and after takes 20 minutes. It was designed in word and can be modified for your classroom. The video is online on a website and youtube.
It is so powerful!!! It touches upon budgeting, paying bills, credit cards, debit cards, payday loans, pawn shops, and credit scores. It shows real people trying to get ahead. I highly recommend it. http://www.spentmovie.com/

Kennedy Administration Station lesson
This is a complete 50 minute station lesson on the Kennedy administration.This lesson is broken into six stations to teach about the Kennedy administration. I give them 8 minutes a station for a 50 minute period. There is a handout is provided that students complete at each station. This lesson is really well organized and designed in Word. It can be adapted to fit your classroom. It is a simple print and use lesson that requires no adaption unless you want to.
