This is a complete lesson on the End of World War I.There is a 12 slide power-point, 1 page notes to go with the PowerPoint, and four cartoons for a cartoon analysis in groups. It was designed in Word and Powerpoint, which can be modified for your classroom.

George Washington’s Stations Lesson

This lesson is broken into six stations to teach about George Washington’s Presidency. Station 1 is about foreign policy, station 2 is about Hamilton’s financial plan, station 3 is on the precedent President, station 4 is about the the whiskey rebellion, station 5 is a video about his legacy, and station 6 is a cartoon station.

World War I Stations Lesson

This lesson is broken into five or six stations to teach about the United States During World War I. I give them 8 minutes a station for a 55 minute period. The handout is provided that students complete at each station. This lesson is really well organzied and designed in Word/Powerpoint. It can be adapted to fit your classroom. It is a simple print and use lesson that requires no adaption unless you want to. There is also a homework DBQ questions assignment if they finish a station early or it can be a sixth station if you have a big class.

Insurance Unit (9 days)

This is a complete unit for teaching insurance during a personal finance course. There are 9 class days (55 minutes each) included and planned. I also show the DVD Sicko to the class during this unit you will need to purchase or access it online. All of the lessons were designed in Word and Powerpoint, which can be adapted and changed for your classroom. 

What is currently included in this curriculum?

Civic Action Political Participation Project

This is a three page assignment where students complete a civic action project. The assignment was designed for the AP U.S. Government and Politics course but it could apply to any government or civics course where you want students to participate in the political process.

The goal of this assignment is to increase community awareness and encourage involvement in local government issues and local political structures. This assignment also offers you the opportunity to be an active citizen within the community and participate in the democratic process. Students have options of attending a political meeting, board of education meeting, a rally or protest, town court or town meeting, write a letter or email to an elected official or editor, interview someone, political event or speaker, or complete a political service project.

It was designed in Word and can be modified for your students very easily.
